That website is outdated. And even a not-so-outdated website known as The Dink Network says that Mystery Island BMP graphics were uploaded January 1st, 1990.
Here's the Wiki article of Dink Smallwood, written by Dan Walma himself (some bits seem edited later by other Dinkers though), and in the "Modifications" section it says that Mystery Island was developed by RTSoft in 1999. So, yeah. I was wrong by one year. Gimme a break, I'm still awesome!
