Um... because it did not? In his 15-8-99 TDN interview, Seth talked about Prophecy of the Ancients being a great D-Mod (so that's proof the interview indeed did happen that date, or at least late that year), and he said he will never create a Dink game again, although he may include Dink in some of his future games. Now, I very much doubt he managed to create Mystery Island, during the rest of the year (4 months), so it had to be released somewhere around 2000.
