I'm leaving because all my recently submitted files were rejected by staff, and I suck all together. I still might release the d-mod i made, but that is hardly possible. No-one finds my files useful and that ducking bullshoot.

The one that was approved IS useless...
Actually put some effort into a good creation that would have a wider range of purpose before releasing it and you'd get more positive feedback.

Dude, don't worry about past crappy files that you've released. Soooo many others have released crappy files, and there's nothing wrong with your's being crappy too. So what if your files aren't as good as SimonK's, or redink1's, you have potential, just keep going, and you'll get better. Read tutorials, read through the dinkc file in the /develop folder. Remember that everyone has to start somewhere.

Don't just give up, because that's the last thing you should do.

If you submit a file that you haven't put any effort in then it is ducking bullshoot. I would rather like that you didn't submit anything before you realize what people would appreciate...

Indeed, just saying you suck is the easy way out. Try looking critically at your own files: Are they going to be of use to anyone? If not you might as well not release them.
The dinknetwork hasn't really ever required someone to release files, do it if you think they'll be useful. If they're not just think of it as a learning exercise.

But if he doesn't release anything, how are people going to critique him and help him improve? Just because his files are really bad compared to yours, doesn't mean that he doesn't put effort in, dude.

I've had files of mine rejected before, though I generally don't do much anyway. Sometimes I get a brilliant idea, and use my skills to make something and make it as glitch-free as possible, then submit it.

This site has always had a lot of crap files, and is still accepting a lot of junk. I'm surprised to hear that files being rejected is even an issue.

I don't really know what the terms are for rejection they use on a file by file basis, but look around at things that have made it to the files section: ABC.. Janie graphics, Duck approved, Dink Approved etc.. So what exactly is being rejected?

Skorn has submitted these graphics files: file 1 and file 2. That's it, no dink.ini, no seperate images to simulate an animation, no readme, nothing. Just some totally useless .JPG (Dink doesn't even support .JPG) files.

Anyone besides Skorn that disagrees with the staff's decisions?

Some people have been here for years and hardly make or play anything at all. If you do keep making things, try and test them yourself to make sure they are easily added to a D-Mod first, because to use some of these things would be as much trouble as making the graphics ourselves...

I tried the links when logged out, and they worked. But I suppose it may be different for people less awesome than me.

Also, JPG distorts your image.
If I wanted a negative version of Dink I'd make it myself. It's really easy to do...

Christiaan: Logg off, quit the browser and then try again. You'll see it doesn't work anymore. Your awesomeness won't save you.

And to be honest: Those files look as if it is more work getting them to work than to create them yourself. I agree with the staff's evaluation on this one.

I'm in agreement with the staff's decision also, although the second link looked like it could easily be stolen and used in order to make some Dink Ghost graphics by someone with more experience with graphical modification software such as PS or GIMP.

Chrizum's links require administrative access to the Dink Network, so either give us the pass or change your links to Sparrowhawks, before someone uses the links to attempt to hax the DN

Duck this. I just tried to relase a file, which looked awesome had great quality, and could be easily used. The staff are donkeys, and I quit.

I'm going to give some advice: Don't give up on something that sucks, my book's first draft sucked worse than, well, I can't think of anything horrible at the moment. I realized this and thought 'I can do better than this!'. Now, are you going to look at your crap and think 'I can do better, hell! I deleted the post, so at least the layout shouldn't screw up unless you have the board preferences set to show deleted posts.

Go to your system bios and set up a secondary password that won't even let you load the Operating System unless you get it correct.
