I waited around 20-30 seconds... should be long enough to load any midis or graphics on my machine.
Yeah, I didn't hit any options either :/ I didn't spend much time with it though. I will try to narrow down what is happening later tonight if I get a chance. I didn't try it in non-true color, but it doesn't sound like that will matter anyway.
EDIT: non-windowed, non-truecolor mode, the fade down was very slow but that is probably a hardware issue with my comp
EDIT: I changed the start-1.c file to just start me on the beach and skipped the first screen. Hopefully that doesn't ruin anything with variables or anything like that.
