That was a great read. I remember some of the early stuff you talked about (old versions of the Dink Network - I think the beach bg was redink1's Dink site before he even called it TDN), although by the time you actually posted here I was LONG gone.
As I've talked about, I was a massively unsufferable noob in my day, for sure. At least I had the sense to nuke my 1998 mods from orbit, but the ones I made in 1999 and 2000 are still very terrible. So I kind of know how you feel a bit.
For Synbi and everyone else - I haven't played anything past what I've posted writeups of. I'm never very far ahead in regards to playing the mods, because I'm afraid I wouldn't remember them so well.
