Very old Dmods often have problems with 1.08 hence why there's that massive compatibility list somewhere. For example Dink 007 can't be finished in 1.08. Freedink's 1.07 compatibility mode may help things to work.
The most prolific bug was the one where you hit something and dink.exe crashes. I'm not sure what causes it, however.
