It may be tedious, but especially since your work already looks great, I think you shouldn't give up. It will reward you in the end. I've never been much of a graphics maker, but when I did make some animation graphics once, the dang thing took quite some time (and my work was nowhere near to your art here). Just keep making them. It takes time. It's normal it takes time. Just work on it for like, I don't know, a minute per day, for the next two years. At least that way, you'll keep yourself from getting bored with it.
