Finally an internet connection at home
We have finally decided that we want a internetconnection at home. Everything we put on this board has been done at my work.
Now we will do much more. When everything goes right we are connected next week.
And for ones who are making huge files. Not a problem We took the biggest connection and the biggest download speed. So come up with all files.
And we also already installed two computers at home one for me and one for Missdink so we can spam this board a lot.

That's just a little TMI, TYVM.
I was just bored thats all. No offense DinkHolland. You'll love having the Dink Network open to you at all times from the comfort of your own home!

No offense. I laugh at everything. I am full of humor. Sometimes to much. I never can be serious and that is for some people a pain in the but.
So fellow members of this board. I am now online at home. SO you all will be spammed a lot now. No, just kidding.
I am now most of the time here on the community. And trying to help where I can and developing when I want to. So be not surprised when I make a lot of topics in the near future.
Now I am working on a network at home. I want to make two computers working on one network. BUt now I am getting sick of all that cables and software I have to install and all the changes I have to make Windows XP Prof.
So I am taking a break now. I am going to finish it tommorow.

Get wireless.
I don't know why it's so stressful. It takes about 10 minutes to set up a home network. XP even does half of it for you.

Yeah, that could be. But my router doesn't work immediatly. I have on one computer xp and one windows 98. So that's the problem.
And I have to make some little holes in the walls because the computers are not in the same room but the cable has to be going to the room.

When you're first going into it, it can be a bit daunting, depending on your setup. My first attempt was making an ad hoc network between two '98SE machines. Those cards just didn't seem to want to communicate.
The second attempt was with a router between an XP Home desktop (connected by Ethernet), an XP Pro laptop, and 98SE desktop. That worked out just fine.

Yeah, it is my first time doing something like this. The internet was no problem it was fixed in a moment but now I have install a router and let it connect two computers two one internet account. And that is quite annoying because there are running not the same windows.
Windows XP has a recognise by its own. So when I connect a cable to it it gives immediatly a popup to my screen. But with windows 98 I have to figure it out on my own and fix the tcp/IP adresses and etc. It has to be done by hand/manual it doesn't do it automaticly.

lol, good to see the network is still thriving. i'm just shocked that no pedants have corrected the mispelled "masterbates" yet.
and yes, internet is pretty amazing when you think about it, but don't let it get in the way of life. enjoy, though!

Eattherats, If you're meaning my bad spelling or grammar. I am sorry about it English is not my native tongue.
That's not it, usually people on this board detect spelling errors even before they're made. Especially with these kinda words
Oh, and welcome back EatTheRats You planning on staying for long?
