WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
Knight's Tale 2 (A)
EXPLAIN!
I had opened this dmod in the editor to see where the duck to go outside the tower (hint, there's nowhere to go apparently) and that broke some gamma relay in the system which caused a glitch in the screen sequencing and gave me the ability to alter space time to change my position relative to the x,y,z coordinates of the nega-space.
This kinda shit has also happened in Goblin Trouble, but without needing to open an editor. It's just like that by default.

...that's pretty cool. I always wanted Dink to be able to do something "lost woods" style. Apparently you have to trigger a bug to get it to work.
It said something about reaching the maximum number of set_sprite or something.
Did you do anything with the code or the files at all? Did you also use the magical Skurn wand that does a myriad of things like the Wabbajack?
No, this shit just happens if I've got a dmod running when I open the editor now. Didn't used too.
I also didn't have to have Dink on the desktop until recently. It's there not because I can't make any changes when it's in program files anymore.
I also can't install dmods without dragging them onto dfarc. Didn't have to do that before either.
Who ducking knows.

lol wabbajack
This is what happens if you run the original, unchanged game on a modern system. Run it at FreeDink instead.
Nope, hasn't done that before now.
I won't "upgrade" to Freedink because it's broken.

Specify broken, because it runs fine for me.
Missing stuff, stuff doesn't work if you go back to 1.08 without first launching the original game to restore some files or something, really doesn't do anything different except run a few dmods that were made in such a way that freedink's the only option.
I don't get the license thing Beuc was talking about which was why he couldn't include all the midis. They're midis. I wasn't aware midis were tangled up in that ducked up shit known as copyright.

Missing stuff
MMMhm, everything is there from Dink Smallwood, the only new things that have been added is the turbo button and a better support to modern PCs.

Not true, i've installed Dink Smallwood 1.08 and then FreeDink, setted up the DFArc to run FreeDink instead and everything runs fine.

That's non-Windows' problem.
Looks like you didn't even bothered to test this source port at all on Windows.

Since when does freedink have a turbo button? And no, it does not have everything. Plenty of the game is silent.

Uh huh. Now switch back to 1.08 and see what happens.

I didn't even mention a thing about ducking windows.

Despite the fact it's the only OS I use since linux based things seem to have a theme of coming incomplete and requiring a load of maintenance.

Since a few weeks after the release of Dink Smallwood HD. Also it depends on the content of the dink folder. Because that's where the sound, music, script, graphics are all there, those missing files affects only the Mac, Linux and other non-Windows OS' due to the licensing issues, which are not included in FreeDink package! Both EXE files are just compiled codes with minor differences such as the turbo button and better compatibility with modern PCs for FreeDink. They do not affect each other!
Uh huh. Now switch back to 1.08 and see what happens.
I did and get this, it's exactly the same as before switching to FreeDnk.
I have done my homework like a long time ago and i've tested each mod on this source port and every one of them runs fine.

Yeah, at its minimum Freedink is just freedink.exe. That's it, everything else is optional. Just put freedink.exe into the Dink Smallwood folder and point dfarc to use it, and it'll have all the stuff that regular 108 has.
...
Ok, Mr.I-Know-Everything-And-You-Don't explain in detail of "why it doesn't". Remember, it must be a hard proof.

In other words, you don't have any.
Please, just stop arguing with this person, it hurts my eyes.
Try installing it on another computer to see if it's the Files that are broken & not the computer, also why not get a nearby Dinker to be a witness or at least record it.
Plenty of the game is silent.
Copy the non-free (= original) version of dink where Freedink is and all sounds will be restored.
There's also an ongoing effort for finding new sound effects that are compatible with Freedink's license.
