DinkChat IRC Chat button
So that shiny little Chat button at the top of the page doesn't work for me anymore when I try to use it to connect, telling me it's certificate has expired or some such. Fortunately it still displays the IRC channel and server, so I can still connect using a different IRC client. (I haven't dropped in there in months/a year or two so I found it surprising when I recently thought I'd stop by).
Just wanted to ask if this is happening to anyone else? Is the forum-side IRC client down?

A chat meet sounds good. I'll certainly just be in there more often again at least.
For Firefox users such as my self, the plugin required to run it appears to have security issues.
Yeah, but you can still get to the chat room using another IRC client.
The chat stopped working for me too at some point, it's to do with Java.
To fix it, first update Java to the latest version ("check for updates" in the Start menu somewhere under Java) then go to "Configure Java" (same place) and add TDN to the site exception list in the security tab.
Could be another minor step or 2.
You'll still have to allow it through a bunch of dire security warnings each time but at least the chat will work.
