"zero" download problem
Eternal Suicide Chapter Zero : Wasted Life
Zero will not play. There is just a screen that at the bottom reads "v 1.6". The rest of the screen is empty. I used WinZip and unzipped to "c:\program files\dink smallwood\zero[1]" and it went to the dmods, but will not run after the screen that says downloading. What can be done about this? Have tried to reinstall w/o success. Thanks
take out the [1] on the folder, and make sure you installed it right.
unzip it to : c:\program files\dink smallwood\
that is because I zipped the folder and not the files.

Dammit. I will fix that.
Fun Fact: This bug is also called the 'Jveenhof bug'.

You guys don't even have to create a folder to put the files in ... I did it for you ... I made it easier.
Whatever, crazy people, I'll let someone upload a ?normal? zipped updated version.
Not so funny Fact: This is no bug, so it certainly isn't called the 'Jveenhof bug'.

C'mon, he means Jveenhof had this with his D-Mods too.

Well, way back on the old bladekeep board, jveenhof kept zipping the d-mod that way cuasing people to get confused on how to install the mod so people came to the board complaining. Then another author did the same thing and someone said "Yeah, thats the jveenhof bug" and he said "Great, they are now naming bugs after me." I found it funny...
Your intent may have been to make it easier... but in practice its just not. I mean, *every single other D-Mod*, besides the *.exe ones, are zipped the other way. That decision was made a couple years ago, when it was decided that people preferred to name the folders their D-Mods extracted to themselves, rather than having the author decide for them.
Not to mention, computer novices who don't really have a firm grasp on the whole 'folder/file/zip/dink directory' thing, who follow the instructions on the 'help' page exactly, just won't be able to play your D-Mod.
