New File: DFArc 3
Beuc, of FreeDink fame, has released DFArc 3!
I'll let him describe it:
DFArc 3 is a new, cross-platform version.
It also adds a few new features:
- resizeable windows
- remove savegames and backup files from creating a D-Mod
- translated in multiple languages (Finnish, French, German, Italian, Macedonian and Polish)
- supports system-wide and per-user D-Mods installation (for when you're not administrator)
- and more!

Can anyone tell me how to run this? I can't get it to work.
You got the DLL's?
Just put them in the Dink folder together with DFArc and it should work.

Nice update for DFArc, works perfect.
Alright, got them. Why aren't the DLL's included in this download though?
Another question: I can't resize the window, but it should be possible according to Beuc. Anyone has this problem?

I can resize them.. but I'm running through Wine..
Hey, how can I test it in different languages?
I'm thinking of including DFArc 3 in Dink 1.08 (instead of DFArc 2). What do you think? Are there any reasons not to?
I agree, the requirement of a second dl makes it currently inferior to the old DFArc which is all about ease-of-use.
If the DLLs are included by default, the user probably won't even notice the additional files.
The DLLs are in a separate pack so you need to download them only once, even if there are future updates. But the main issue is that you only attach one file on the Dink Network - I actually have multiple versions at http://www.freedink.org/releases/woe/, namely the standalone http://www.freedink.org/releases/woe/dfarc-3.2.3.exe
Anyway, I never liked so much those ".dmod" files.
Should we simply use Zip, like in the past? Maybe 7z or Rar.

.dmod is the same as .tar.bz2. You can open them with 7-Zip.
probably won't work on Vista... (does anything??)
Works great on Vista Home Premium x64.
Skull: Hey, how can I test it in different languages?
You need to change your operating system's default language.
Under GNU/Linux, you can also run it like:
$ LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 dfarc
Probably I could add a way to change it from within DFArc.

The main point of the .dmod extension is to associate DFArc with it, so that users can download a D-Mod and install it straight with DFArc, making the process easily for newbies. You cannot do that from Z-Zip & cie
