Personally, I think that it's a good though not amazing gameplay dynamic, but it looks cool as hell. I vaguely recall that SimonK didn't like it, and redink wasn't entirely pleased with the implementation? Your thoughts...

It was cool, but a bit illogical at times. For example, the void knight's spell (LIGHTS OUT) should have been a lot more powerful. And I didn't understand why air should damage earth more than other elementals, like water.

Isn't that how Elemental systems have always worked? Having two elements that are pretty opposite to one another?

Water vs Fire
Air vs Earth
Chalk vs Cheese

And so on...

Actually, it's a cycle:

Air>Earth>Water>Fire>Void>>Air

But yeah, usually opposites is how it's done, like FFVII if I remember right, where fire beat ice and ice beat fire.
