The Dink Network Joins the Social Media Revolution
In this future-year of 2008, sites like Facebook and Twitter are starting to become more popular, so The Dink Network is hitching its wagon to the social media train of progress. Our wagon will now go really fast! ... except our wooden spoked wheels aren't really suited for train tracks. And that might cause a wagon to fall apart. Hmm.
But, the main point is, The Dink Network how has a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/dinknetwork) and a Twitter account (https://www.twitter.com/dinknetwork). Thanks to the magic of RSS, these will hopefully be updated with news items as they are posted, like magic.
We also have an RSS feed which might not work that well! That's exciting.

...but it is nice to see the site receive some love-filled grooming after a while, nevertheless.
The only thing that is sorely lacking, I think, is a way to deal with someone like Skurn in a more effective manner; we're currently just deleting everything he posts, which kinda sucks.

I believe that the weird lurkers/social-media wrapping issue has been fixed, try hitting refresh. I had to update the css to fix it, and most browsers don't get the latest css on every page view.

If it would be simpler, I could hand over the entire group to redink1 that I already made. I know nobody wants me to be the head of anything Dink related anyways, so, I could just give administration to him and drop to regular member level.

RSS is like the friendship that little ponies have with each other- magical. When a brand spanking new news post happens to be created on this site, the twitter automatically updates. Because that's how magic works. As redink1 says, Thanks to the magic of RSS, these will hopefully be updated with news items as they are posted, like magic.
I guess in a sense you could say Sparrowhawk updates the twitter since he's the one who usually posts the news items.
