Moon Child
I started working on this a while ago. The mapping is pretty much all done, there's some things here and there that could use a little tweaking. It's going to be a quest, but I've put in some easter eggs. I made it non-combat so I could focus more on scripts and scenery. I'm not giving a release date because I'm really not sure when I'll finish it, I do plan to eventually though.
I removed all the screenshots because they were all outdated.
This has now been beta-tested and should be all touched up and ready to go very soon.
Get excited get excited get excited.

Screenshots look good, glad to see you're still working on it. Keep it up
Please don't let Krisknox hear this D-Mod's name.
You go ahead a deal in your time with this. Programming can be a lonely issue.
I remember when the dinosaurs where always lolling about the back door lamenting
the new program wasn't finished. I can tell you, having a Brontosaurus banging on
the door @ 3:00 am EST, is not fun. It usually woke the children. Just continue
on at your on pace.
Best regards,
Matt

No combat? Aww man
I've been working on this quite a bit, and now I don't have any more school so I have plenty of free time. Hopefully I'll release it this year. I still have quite a bit left to do, but I have gotten quite a bit done. I've been doing quite a bit of work into making screens look pretty. Anyways, this project is not dead, and I will finish because I want to release at least one thing.
I feel like my novice level understanding of DinkC is what's going to make it awesome.
I have two questions regarding this and possible future dmods. Although if I make another one - which I think I will, but I'm not promising anything - it'll be combat. I guess I'm just asking for your opinion so I know what to add in before I start to finalize everything and prepare it for submission. Thanks.
How many side quests would be a good amount for a romp/quest size mod?
Do you think having something interactive/strange on every screen suppliments the fact that's it's non-combat?

I've already answered the side quest thing - [8:47:04 PM] Whinny Jed Mekells: 892892.
As for the other thing. Sure, combat in Dink is rather boring anyways.

I was hoping to get serious answers this time.
Which you shall get, you just need the right people posting
Okay, so I'm pretty interested in your concept. I think a romp doesn't need any sidequests though. The short time you have to bring a story shouldn't be split up due to time spent creating sidequests. For a quest it's fine to have a few, but I wouldn't go overboard.
Having something cool on each screen would definitely bring a sense of wonder each time you zone, but if it's going to be gimmicky for the sake of having something and it's eating away at the time you could have spent on other features it might be the greatest idea. I'd say every 2 or 3 screens!

I should have this completed within the month. And if I don't finish... complain.
