NieR Gestalt
Reason?: An emotional game that is the sequel to Drakengard 2, though it doesn't spoil anything. The storyline is that Nier, the father of his sick daughter, Yonah, works various jobs to keep his daughter as healthy as possible. One day, when she hears of a flower that can cure her illness, she leaves home to find it. After Nier returns from clearing creatures called Shades, he finds Yonah is missing and searches for her, finding her shortly in a place called the Lost Shrine. Here he meets Grimoire Weiss, a magical talking book that gives him the ability to use magic. After defeating several shades, and two statues, he takes his daughter back home. After that, the story goes on with him meeting Kaine, a foul-mouthed woman who is scantily dressed, and Emil, a boy cursed to turn anything he sees into stone, to find a cure for his daughter.
The graphics are great, being made by Square-Enix, the music is beautiful and sometimes exciting, the combat system is easy to use and the gameplay, while relying mostly on a fetch-quest mentality, is very good. The storyline is one of the best I have with three endings and one alternate.

Hey MsDink, were you talkin about Resident Evil 1 or 2? Cuz I like 2 better
Oddworld: Oddysee & Exoddus
I was literally just about to say those two! I've been playing Exoddus all morning

Yeeah, I thought so. 1 was too robotic and a bit too hard. It took me months to finish it.
I posted a link here a while back, where a blind dude plays Abe's Exoddus through with using only stereo sound.
Abe's Oddysee is great. I've been meaning to play that game again, and rescue all the Mudokons this time. Abe's Exoddus... I guess it's just more of the same, but I didn't like that one nearly as much as the first game.
This time, I'll go with Manhunter: New York and Manhunter 2: San Francisco. You can't go wrong with orbs and giant rats!

I agree. While Exoddus improving some of the elements, it also lacked some that Oddysee had. Thank god they're spending their time making HD versions out of them, instead of creating new games like Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath.
Oh, and saving all the 99 Mudokons is easy. It was effin hard though to save the 300 in Exoddus.

I never actually played Munch's Oddysee or Stranger's Wrath, despite wanting to... My record for Oddysee is 58 (I only remember because I beat it yesterday) and I have no idea for Exoddus because I haven't beaten it yet. I'm still on my first playthrough . It's funny actually, I've had Oddysee for years but always got stuck near the end so I never played Exoddus in case it spoiled the ending.
Well, good thinking. It does "sorta" spoil the ending. Unless you save less than 50 Mudokons though, which leads to a bad ending.
The Elder Scrolls series, the Fable series, All of the Forgotten Realms games
There's also Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake, Alone in the Dark 1, 2, 3, AitD: A New Nightmare, (Certainly not AitD 5, that one was horrible.) FF3, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), Sonic Riders, Sonic Heroes, Any Mario game (Including RPG), Tales of Phantasia, Lufia 1, Terranigma, Super Castlevania 4 and Dracula X, Secret of Evermore, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Doom 1-3 and ROE, Ultimate Doom, Heretic, HeXeN, HeXen 2, Blood, Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet, All Mortal Kombat games, Xenophage: Alien Bloodsport, Turok, Bioshock 1 and 2, and Pokemon Yellow.
I havent played abe's exoddus, but i loved the first one on ps1. Got to love that intro, best ever..

I've said it before and I'll say it again, San Andreas was the last excellent game there was.
favs: Deus Ex, nethack, team fortress classic
almost favs: chrono trigger, final fantasy 6, final fantasy 7, knights of the old republic 1 & 2, thief 3, neverwinter nights 2, morrowind, oblivion, portal
noteworthy: half-life, quake, quake 3, planescape torment, goldeneye 007 (multiplayer), mario kart (multiplayer), tetris, fallout, monkey island 1 & 2
Deus Ex is special for multiple reasons, but most importantly its philosophical depth and that it presents you with truly ambiguous and difficult moral questions. No game I've played has come anywhere near that, and most don't even try.

Well skull i'd allmost agree on you if it weren't for the fact that Oblivion was released later then GTA: SA
sure it has it's flaws but what game doesn't have it's flaws and well fr the rest there were some good ones but in general not compared to many of the classics.

Pokemon series(gameplay wise great story going downhill though)
GTA SA
Elder scrolls series(yet to play the latest release of the games(Skyrim)
Duke nukem 3D
Neverwinter night's(have yet to play 2 though didn't find a copy yet )

Ah, yes. I remember playing Thief: Deadly Shadows, one of the best games I've ever played.
Thief 2 was a whole lot better than 3. The environments were massive, you had more variety in your equipment, and the game was actually challenging. I beat Deadly Shadows on the hardest setting without any difficulty whatsoever.
Planescape: Torment, that is all.
Taken straight from my YouTube channel:
PSP: Crisis Core
PS1: FFVII
DS: Nintendogs
PS2: Sly Cooper Band of Thieves/FFX
NES: Crystalis
SNES: FFVI
GBA: In all honesty, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue team!
PC: Portal
Favourite game of all time though? dang, that's hard. I still gotta think about that one.

My favourite game of all time would be Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. So awesome with 4-players and personally I think the single-player is great.
I got too many favourites but some to mention are the Oddworld series (get both games now for 1.69€ on Steam!), Chrono Trigger for SNES, Super Meat Boy for PC and Pokémon for handheld nintendo devices of course.
