I thought all the screen locks with the pillbugs were a bit annoying, Nearly stopped playing at one point because of it. there were a couple of depth que problems, and i thought the end was a bit of a let down but overall not a bad attemp!

The sceenlocks were annoying and irritating, they take away your time and patience, you are stuck with the same monsters in the same screen over and over again as you try to figure out things by moving around. The screen locks have ruined what was otherwise an excellent dmod. I shut down in the middle of the game as i could not tolerate the screen locks any longer. Please take care of it in future versions.
For all future developers, please keep the screen locks reasonable.
some things i noted were,
1. 2 slots at level 5 are already saved when you start the game.
2. The game slows down in some screens, particularly in those screen locks areas.
I am stuck in the screen locks area where i have to find a white stone and enter the village through some cave, i cant find it. Please guide me. Also tell me what is the significance of the choice between heal magic and fireball, will that affect the game later.

From the sounds of all these screenlock problems, I may have to get a cheat to disable them... I normally don't. I might not, but if it screenlocks too much...
Screenlocking was fine in infinidink, but in a Dmod that isn't directly Arcade style related, it's abusive to the player's time and patience. Just to be honest. Ruining a storyline with such a delay can drop the rating alone.
Anyways, I'm gonna test this out now, and write a review after rather than post in this thread again

The white stone is more like south-west from that green guy
It's a small one not to far away, when you find it travel south
About the save games, I found them just after uploading the game :/
Screenlocks, well I certenly understand that you find them anoying, I'll not put just as many in my next dmod (and I'll remove some in other versions in this dmod, if i make one )
Oh and which magic you choose doesn't really matter, but heal is way better... Anyway, before the end you get the skill you didn't choose earlier, so it really doesn't matter

i enjoyed the d-mod quite a bit, despite its flaws. if my review is accepted, read that for my full opinion. I wrote quite a lengthy review
Thanks, I'm looking forward to reading your review...
Oh, I'll release an update without the saved games and some changes in the scipts (less screenlocks and some changes in dialogues) as well as the hardness.
Might take a day though, I have lot's of homework to do

Ok, thanks
I'll add this to the big pillbugs (pills.c) script in the update:
If you don't want to wait for the update you can change that yourself...
Note: Remove the other screenlock(1); in the pills.c void main

It was alright. Not excellent however. Ending was a bit abrupt, I would have liked some sort of funny cutscene showing the bomb being defused rather than nothing at all.
Also, learn to use tree tiles rather than the S button a million times over. This would speed the game up a bit.

This is a nice little DMOD, but I can't play it through.
1) Waaaay to many screenlocks, and I can almost run straight through the giant pillbugs without getting hurt - I used this to kill about ten of the things while on zero health (I didn't think it would work!)
2) I chose fireball magic, so I frequently found myself unable to heal, forcing me to kill giant pillbugs at extremely low healths (because of screenlocks)
3) Yes, there are two extra saves
4) Some screens loaded really slow and my poor *borrowed* computer seemed to slow down for no reason.
5) Your use of trees as borders was not good, and kinda confused me at first.
6) This, I found on EVERY SCREEN - bad tileing. I frequently found myself perplexed at the awkward tilling, wondering why this cave had at least four mismatches, why grass was so sharp in the middle of a field, and why the green stuff in the second area was really bad.
This is a good attempt, but I couldn't play this through to the end.

Ok, but you really should try again if i update it.
I agree about the screenlocks. I could understand it for the one screen where I saw 3 giant pills, but otherwise it was too excessive. I ended up cheat-unlocking occasionally.
As for the trees, once I cleared the area, I cheat-fireballed all of em on every screen in one go. Burnable trees for a border fails unfortunately.
Not bad though, admittedly. Maybe the paths could have had a better edge to blend into the grass, but meh.
