DFArc
DFArc is an easy-to-use archiver program for compressing, extracting and viewing dmods. I like how the dmods have their own .dmod extension that helps searching for them (be how organized ever eventually they'll scatter all over your hard drive) but that can also be renamed to .tar.bz2 for access with any ordinary compressing utilities. (Handy when you only need a few files from a dmod) The compression method is also better than for example the common .zip and .rar
The only complaints I have are that the program doesn't ask to confirm overwrite when a dmod with the same folder name already exists, and that the dmod info page doesn't look like the one of Dink Frontend. DFArc also forces the creation of a dink.diz info file, though that's generally a good thing.
In overall, DFArc is a splendid program that makes managing dmods easier and simpler, but it could still be improved.

its fair, but i found a problem that too many d mods can stop it working.
This is truly a brilliant little thing. It compresses D-Mods way better than .zip or .rar does. This version is pretty useless now though, what with Dink 1.08 and it's extremely good DFarc and all. A minor complaint about this application is the extremely cheesy name. DFarc? C'mon!

I love the fact that it forces the creation of a dmod.diz file! Not creating one is just lazy. I don't like laziness and quite disapprove of it. Good job Merlin! Keep up the good work!
I would like to add that the .dmod file format does not save as much space as the author implies, though it far superior to .zip and .rar formats (even when set to best compression).
It also compresses the files very fast despite such good compression.

This utility is GREAT! It both saves space and time! Before, i had to pack all the Graphics, Sounds etc. in one large .zip or .rar file. But now, with DFArc, i won't have to do that again. All i have to do is fire up the program, enter what i want it called and press the button! The ultimate choice for a Dinkmodder.
This program makes insalling Dmods even easier and its fast! Wow if I had a fish right now! The new .dmod compression is the best also when I still had 56k I could download the equvilent of 200meg each hour! Much better then zip
Yippy no more coppying finding and opaning and past.
All i have to do is open and extract.
Now i can play my D-MODS in 5 4 3 2 1 instead of 5 hours.

An excellent decompressing tool, for all dmods. It autmatically decompresses all those dmods you have downloaded, and puts them right into The Dink Smallwood file. No more cut and paste for me.
Only one very tiny complaint: when it is done decompressing and everything else, I wish it would say: Finished or Done. I have to go to The Dink Smallwood file, to make sure the dmod is there.
This is a MUST for all dinkers!

This file lets you extract the D-Mods to Dink Smallwood. This program lets you extract a D-Mod, create a D-Mod, and see the D-Mod information. It ain`t any bugs in it so it gets a 9.9 from me.
