Or "Abiword", or "StarOffice". (Double quotes?)
But yeah, this should go as easy-to-open plain text on Dink Solutions or something.

No, I can't because it have images, and without them the guide wouldn't be as good.
You can upload walkthroughs with images to Dink Solutions.
really? Isn't that just .txt: s? I've never seen one with.
Ok, great, well, I'll change the first post to a link there when it's uploaded. Thanks for the tip.
Got to lazy, I had to rearrenge everything to fit in the walkthrough uploading thingy

I'm stuck in Agatha Smallwood. I don't have WORD,can you send the walkthrough to Cdish@aol.com?
I just converted the word file to a pdf file and sent the url to IplayDink and he can send it on if he approves of it... you can view pdf files with adobe acrobat (free to download the reader) www.adobe.com I think
I'll check out msdinks file when I get home, if you want help now just tell us where you are stuck and we will tell you what to do.
Every time I try to buy the rubber boots the game quits to windows and says
Dink Smallwood ('dink') was not found on your computer. Please configure the Dink program name in the Options menu.
and then I go to the options menu and it is set to dink - which is the right one as far as I know. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I need some kind of patch?

What dink version are you using? 1.08? Freedink? Dink HD for iphone?
I am using
DFArc version 3.4
I am running it in True Color
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
I have tried checking v1.07 and unchecking it.
I uninstalled Agatha Smallwoods Will
and re-installed it. I am still having trouble every time I go to buy the rubber boots. That is the only part I have had trouble with so far.

Are you REALLY THAT LAZY to download it by yourself?! That's also the reason why you shouldn't revive the topic that is pretty much old.
re: Boots crash - just for the record if anyone's still keeping track of these things, this is still an issue. I can't progress past the point where I need to buy the boots, I get the exact same "'dink' directory not found" error someone else mentioned. I'm playing on FreeDink, fwiw. Otherwise, seemed like a cool enough game so far. I'm sure it's some obscure little system-specific bug virtually nobody experiences - hateful how such simple dumb little things can ruin a perfectly good game. :-\
Hmm... are you familiar with dink c? MAybe you could try adding the item manually? Making another script that gives it to you.
I don't have the scripts in front of me right now but I'm sure you can find the shop script and find the line for the boots.

Actually, I found the problem: In the "Options" menu of DFarc, there is an option "Override Dink directory?" In my system (Ubuntu 12.04 Linux), you have to check that box and find the correct directory (it should be under usr/share/games/dink). That took care of the problem. Thanks!
