Reply to Attack of the evil wizard--teleport

I'm stuck talking to Matrige the wizard! He told me to get a teleport scroll, I did; but when he beamed me out, it didn't work. I went back and saw him, but all he says is "please Dink, let me think about it". That was last night. How long does he have to dwell on the problem? Any ideas?
