leaving michigan, that is. as for the dink squad, i will update it as i get pictures, but because i havent gotten any pictures in the last year thats been kind of hard to do. so consider it dead unless someone sends pic.

but seriously k im leaving michigan for good so we are going to have contests to give out all the prizes because im moving.

Hey man, have fun... I just left the Midwest myself, and am trying to live out in Cali. I wish I had a camera out here, but I don't.

Contest idea: make a custom game engine in Dink. Think the Frogger example, think that sperm Space Invaders thing.

I don't know really but a cool idea is to make a D-Mod contest based on other games. With that I mean like a parody of a real game, or a Dink version of it It could be very interesting to see which games people chose to remake

How about a short contest with a D-mod that takes less than 10mins to finish, that would ensure lots of entries and people don't need a huge idea or lots of time on their hands to make one.

Most confusing D-Mod contest: To enter press tab-control-escape-space-return-n-I-l-0- translate the following sentence ‚Ì•û‚֍̗p[ƒ|—pî•ñî•ñ•ÛŒìŽÒ‚²—˜—pã‚Ì’ˆÓÌƒTƒCƒg into english, then read it, sdrawkcab ti daer neht, then read it in korean, nearok ni sdrawkcab ti daer neht, then submit your d-mod (which has to be really confusing)... yeah...

Most Chaotic D-mod contest: The d-mods have to be very chaotic

Most Customisable Character D-mod Contest: A good example: you could have 10 attributes... and when it starts you could customise how many points get put into each attribute...
and you could have skills that you could get by spending "skill atrribute" points, and you could get magic spells by spending "magic attribute" points... I don't think the "Dink Engine" would really allow for this...

Funniest (not Funnest [which isn't even a word]) D-mod contest: one that would have lots of humor...

Lowest budget d-mod: Basically a short, simple d-mod that only takes a few days (and no money what-so-ever) to make...

Highest budget d-mod: Basically the opposite of the above contest, a complicated d-mod with such good graphics that it will lag so much that it will take you 365 days to walk one screen... or maybe not... anyways... it should have good graphics... but not graphics that will lag most computers... it should also have a good plot, and good scripting...

Yeah... that was a lot of ideas... I still think the Most Confusing D-Mod one would be fun... but of course the "how to submit it" was just to be confusing... since I think the contest should be confusing as well as the d-mods...

If you have a contest I think it should be something simple, like one of your picture contests. When ever theres a dmod contest there are very few entries and the you have to keep adding extensions. With the picture contests all we have to do is send a picture.

Create a dmod with the limitation that it can only be on one screen.

It would be easy enough to get lots of entries, and it would challenge people to creatively make a neat dmod.

Undink, the whole purpose of any compo game or Dmod is to be the best within a given time limit. It's the extra rules or theme that can make it fun.

Seriously though I think the one screen D-mod is good, it might be interesting to see what people think is important in a D-mod (it also might just release a whole load of rubbish D-mods). An artwork thing would be good too, how about a Dink poster, like a DvD cover.

o i just thought of a idea i like the 1 screen dmod well enough but i think that it would be to hard how boute you make a 9 screen d-mod so it would be able to have some sort of a plot in it and the time limet would be 3days

Any dmod(& dink engine) contest should give atleast 3 months to get good entries. So this won't be feasible.

I think we can have a funny Photo Contest.
Here what I mean is that people submit one or a series of photos in which they add bubbles to tell what they are thinking or saying. It should be like a short comic or even just i joke pic. And the joke should be something related to Dink or Dink Network.
They can have their friends and family feature in it but their own presence is essential.

And it should not be renacting of a dmod or a Quote. It should be original.
I guess most people here have access to camera so it is possible for all of them.
Also since these are pics they are going to add to the current collection of Dink Squad.

No, although someone was with us for a while. I don't know why you think a person named 'who' and a Buddhist temple/Ethiopian stew would be the dink squad though.

The Dink Squad is a wonderful place where you can see pictures of the people who play Dink. It is run by joshriot and if you want your picture added then you need to email it to him and he'll put it up. Look under partners (on the left) to get to the Dink Squad website.
