what about an internal day/night function? the problem with just using fade_down(whatever) is that it doesnt survive a screen change, and can have some nasty effects... also there is no fade_up(whatever)

Change the palette, which survives fade_down/fade_up.

I do, you want it? If so, how should I send it? I also made one that's supposed to be sunrise/sunset with a heavy rose tint to it, if you're interested. Mind you, I've never used them in a real d-mod and I'm not claiming they're particularly good.
