WDE+2 Cannot find my DinkHD install folder

I installed the game to the default directory (Program Files x86), then placed the editor in the folder. I installed some DMODS, then opened up the editor, and it asks for me to find the install folder, but neither the parent folder nor the Dink Smallwood HD folder itself works.

Any ideas?

PS: I'd like to edit the base game itself if possible, but I haven't done that since the original Dink Edit on my old Win 98. Still possible?

That's most likely because WDE+2 supports only the original Dink Smallwood. I suggest you to grab the original game and then use FreeDink source port for better compatibility with modern systems along with 64-bit support.
