I played this D-Mod many years ago. I am playing it again with Dink HD but have run into 2 problems (so far). The first is when I am talking to the pimp to get the yellow key and the dialog never comes up where I can go dance to win it. I have to kill him but then all the guards attack because they can see me now. Anyone know how to get to the dance part? I'd rather not deal with the guards and then all the ghosts! LOL!

Also, the bed maze where you have to walk above the beds to get around falling through the ground. I cannot figure out how to get around the beds. No matter how I walk (break the barrel, walk around the table, etc.) I can't find a way. Anyone remember how to do this?

the version of the game that's available using HD's "staff picks" or whatever the hell it is, is broken on HD. really, seth probably didn't even make sure any of them worked right on it.

but redink1 updated it here and that's fixed now. don't think there's any reason to solve the bed maze, though.

just install this one over the one you have and it'll update it.

Oh, I didn't realize that the Dink HD one was the unfixed one. I'll install the one you've pointed me to then. Thanks!

As for the bed maze, yeah, I probably don't need to solve it, but I want to do everything in a D-Mod, even if it doesn't contribute to my winning or losing. I like to see what the author took the time to create in the one I am playing. I'm anal that way. LOL

Thanks again, Skurn.

there used to be an image showing the path through the maze, but now the only ways to see it are through an editor or using 1.08's debug mode i think.

but really, the maze only goes to the path leading to the armory, so you can already go there without the agony of nonsensical barriers.

I don't know everything exactly, but I think for the dance part you have to equip the fist.
With other items equipped you aren't allowed to dance.

I hope this did help

For the maze: It really isn't necessary. I think it's there for people, who can't solve the fighting part.

Thanks, JustaGhost.

My issue was that Dink HD automatically installs an older version of the D-Mod from a selected list, one where the pimp never allows you to go dance. I'll always install from URL now rather than select the ones in the browse section of Dink HD just to be sure.

I beat the dance thingee, no problem, once I did what Skurn advised.

The thing about the bed maze is that I remember getting around it years ago, but now can't for my life. It's frustrating! I am getting old. LOL

the older version works, just something about redink1's script isn't fully read by dinkHD. it doesn't like lack of semicolons, apparently.

i think that's what it is maybe.

Depending on which part of that bed area you mean, the answer changes.

The "Walk above the beds" thing is literal. You walk up while above one of the beds.

The one that is literally just a headache of hardness issues can be solved by getting "Sixth Sense" off some dude. I think it was the crazy guy on the prison floor, but I'm not certain.

Also, the bed maze where you have to walk above the beds to get around falling through the ground.

Wait!
If you just go in the middle of the path, you shouldn't fall down.
Am I understanding you right and you now come from the right to the bed-maze?
Well, normally you should come from the other side, because there is some sort of a riddle gate,
which you can only solve from the other direction (Behind the mean fall-down traps).
This gate doesn't tell you a riddle, you have to hit a few sticks right and then it opens.
Those sticks aren't on the other side of the gate, so you can just open it, when you come from left.
Also, if you come from the right, you walk thru a mean endless maze ,without even noticing it.
But when you come from the left, this is really something even worse than the bed-maze.

Understood, what I wanted to say?

BTW: If you are strong enough, you can also hit those riddle gates and they are away.
