The Dink Network

I'm stuck on story 5 as you can see from the subject. For some reason or another, I can't speak with King Midas after I got the curse lifted. I stand in front of him and press spacebar but it does nothing, I can speak to everyone else except him. Is this a glitch or is there something else I'm supposed to do? Thanks

I think it might be a glitch. I don't remember the game very well, though.
