After several months of laziness and technical difficulties, I've finally completed the Chores playthrough video (well, recorded it a few weeks ago but laziness set in again).

Throughout this playthrough I record everything using a video camera instead of Camtasia or any other methods; As a result the quality of the playthrough may be brought into question at your leisure.

TOPIC DISCUSSION
Question One: Why is it so difficult to find firewood around Port Tola?
Example Answer: A myterious pyromaniac girl regularly visits the town pretending to visit her relatives, when in reality she comes to incinerate any scattered firewood around the area. Her target tree for her most recent visit however was recently chopped down, resulting in her standing around near the stump and sawdust with disappointment.

Question Two: How did the girl in the cellar hide?
Example Answer: The girl disguised herself as a box, and pushing her to enter the cellar is really pushing her into the cellar where she turns back to human for the conversation.

Question Three: Why are the people still able to move after the wizard has used his crystal?
Example Answer: The crystal of control doesn't freeze people until they're given orders through the crystal as one would expect, it merely takes control of their minds and their mouths, giving them the option to wander about their houses for some reason.

The winner of the topic discussion question (best answer) gets their response featured in the Chores review video that will be made exactly two weeks after this post, as well as selecting the next Dmod I play through once the DSPT staff have chosen a suitable romp list. So go watch the playthrough and get answering!

It seems some of the uploading failed? Oh well, I trust you can handle it. Why the heck didn't you record it with Camtasia, anyway? Cause the camera shakes all the time and the quality of the screen is horrible.

Because it JUST would not sync the sound to the video.

And the upload system failed on me while I wasn't home, I came back to find it had aborted part 4's upload and was doing nothing for 5 and 6. Uploading them one at a time seems to be working better. F'ing youtube... lol.

Oh well, you could have at least tried to find a better spot for the camera. For me at least, this is almost non-watchable currently, I'm afraid.

I don't think I want to go through the trouble of recording everything again via Camtasia... I've finished the playthrough, its being uploaded, and that's the end of it.

I'll make sure the camera and everything is in a proper, useful position for the next playthrough I make.

The other thing is, you didn't really need to start yapping about your background and stuff. Oh well... I just hope you do a MUCH better work with the next one.

Part 1 is probably the worst quality, as well... But anyway, let's leave room for other people to post.

There's plenty of room for others to post. I must say, that I would have rather watched the old version done with Camtasia, than this one.

You feed the madness, and it feeds on you.
Yeh, the camera angle was a little weird (the blurriness actually hurt my eyes after watching it for a while), but you can still see what's happening, its just impossible to read the text. The commentary was good, but the screen wasn't completely in frame, and the occasional shaking was annoying.
Other than that it was good, the gameplay and the commentary was fine. Try and fix the above mistakes in the next playthrough and it will be better I think. I don't think it's unwatchable though, since you can see what's happening. Just try and make the next one more watchable than this one.

Also, to be honest, I have to actually agree that I liked the old version better... the lag wasn't too extreme, and people didn't mind it that much, but the angle on this is kind of weird and makes everything more blurry... I think the clearer version with a little lag, works better. Is it still possible for you to record it the same way you did the first time?

i hated that in-game chore too it mad m so pissed that i sacrificed a few ducks. and a certain man's sanity.

and for the discussion:
it is so hard to find firewood because some townsfolk us them for some unholy and perverted stuff, and 99,999999999 percent used for that. Thus 0,00000001 % is used for lighting fire-places and of those Dink has to find 6 that were left behind.

Cut the man some slack for actually recording the same playthrough twice Don't expect him to do it a third time xD

But of course, as said, the external camera makes the screen blurry, occasionally shaky and the text unreadable, the xp not in frame, ...

Your commentary was just fine and enjoyable though So yeah, all I can say is, maybe try other recording software or have the camera positioned in a straight angle towards the screen. Anyway, 2 more parts to watch

Indeed. Like I said, the gameplay and commentary was good.

And my answer to the discussion:
A new ninja technique, involving a blindfold, and only getting around judging by hearing and other senses, lead a certain someone to the firewood, who stole it without being seen. I'm so sorry, I swear it it smelt just like cookies.

My answer for question 2: The girl was playing hide & seek with her friends so she asked the guy who lived there to push the crates over her hiding place.

and for discussion 3: The wizard feared the possibility that another wizard could use magic against him so he muted everyone he could find.

Question One: Why is it so difficult to find firewood around Port Tola?
Port Tola was hit by a snowstorm last week which covered pretty much everything with snow. So the firewood branches are covered with snow so you can't see them

Question Two: How did the girl in the cellar hide?
After the girl saw what happend to her dad and the neighbour she pannicked and fell over one of the crates. She fell down in the cellar. The boxes were stuck to her dress but they didn't fit in the cellar so they end up covering the entrance to the cellar. The girl just was to embareced to tell that so she said she was hiding.

Question Three: Why are the people still able to move after the wizard has used his crystal?
The wizard controls the people with the crystal and he knows Dink is looking around for clues. To confuse Dink the wizard let the people wander around a bit or say "Mmhhh." Would have worked better if he just made the people give misdirections but he was not smart enough to think about that.
