This is a text file with a lot of technical information about midi files. For those who know nothing about what a midi file really is this information is both good and bad. Good in that it seeks to educate, bad in that there is a lot of jargon and I quickly reached information overload. To get the best from this file take time to absorb it.
The information about “how to use midis in DMODs” is of the most benefit, and it is straight from redink1’s useful things info (and credit is given for this). Personally I feel this should’ve been presented straight after the basic definitions of midi were given.
Having read this file a couple of times now, I have learnt some more about midi files, but have also realised I need to learn much, much more before I try to make my own.
